On April 9, in Astana, at the Republican cycling track “Saryarka”, the 1/2 final matches among men’s teams of the National League of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2014/2015 were held, based on the results of which the finalists and teams that will compete for bronze were determined.

The first semi-final match was held between the teams “Kapshagai” (Almaty region) - “Almaty Legion” (Almaty). In a bitter struggle, the Legionnaires still beat their opponents in overtime with a score of 82:73. (21:26; 17:11; 21:23; 7:6; 16:7).

In the second match, the current champions, Astana, met with Kaspiy.

The basketball players of our team took the initiative from the first minutes of the match. The Aktau team only at times, and largely through the efforts of the American Richard, managed to impose a fight on “Astana”. Today in the second semi-final there was no intrigue, but it is worth thanking the basketball players of both teams: the Caspian players fought without sparing themselves, and our team once again proved its high level.

Result of the meeting 79:66 (22:13; 16:15; 23:18; 18:20)

On April 10, the teams will compete for bronze in the first game: “Kapshagai” (Almaty region) – “Caspiy” (Aktau). In the second game, “Astana” (Astana) – “Almaty Legion” (Almaty) will fight for gold.
