On April 10, at the Republican cycling track "Saryarka" in Astana, the final matches of the 2014/2015 Republic of Kazakhstan Basketball Championship were played, following which the strongest basketball team of the country's championship was determined. This season it was Astana, winning the trophy for the 4th time in a row! The Almaty Legion won the silver medal and Caspian took third place.

In addition to the main trophy, the players of our team were recognized in the following categories: Jerry Johnson “Best Point Guard” and Rashid Mahalbasic “Best Center”.

The final match between the Almaty Legion team ended with a score of 81:56 (26:21, 23:9, 24:13, 8:13). The most productive player on the winning team was Jerry Johnson, who scored 18 points.

The score was opened within a minute after the starting whistle, with an accurate throw from the opponent. But our guys, quickly moving from defense to attack, immediately responded to the guests. At a high pace, the scales were constantly changing - 26:21 at the first quarter break.

In the second quarter, Ramunas Butautas' team continued to press. Astana’s advantage in the game did not raise any questions, and later, in the second quarter, Astana only increased their advantage. The teams went into the break with the score 49:30.

The home team dominated in the third quarter. Before the last break, “Astana” had “+30” –73:43.

The fate of the match was predetermined, and in the final quarter, Astana allowed the opponent to slightly reduce the gap. The result of the match is 81:56.
