Today, on 10 July 2014, Saryarka Cycle Track and Astana Arena Stadium hosted excursion "Local History Research Expeditions "Tugan Yelge Tagzym".

In 2012, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools started their own patriotic project - local history research expedition "Tugan Yelge Tagzym". The project has been developed by Autonomous Educational Organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" and is intended to generate students' interest in the home country and to strengthen the sense of patriotism.

What features such educational trips is the exchange of routes between Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools for getting knowledge and doing research in the regions of Kazakhstan. As part of the project expeditionary groups visit almost all areas of the country, explore their flora and fauna, memorial sites, historical significance, culture, innovative facilities, architectural structures and more.

For expeditions, each Intellectual School sends a group of students from 7^th, 8^th, 9^th, 10^th grades distinguished for their academic, creative, athletic and other accomplishments.
