Control races of cyclists of the CSC

05.11.2020

On November 4, 2020, control races on track cycling among juniors in the track-pace and track-sprint sections were held at the Saryarka cycling track. Pupils of coaches Sivash Ivan and Kupeshov Berik competed among themselves in 4 types of disciplines: scratch, keirin, elimination race and fast lap. 21 athletes took part in the races.

The head of the educational and methodological department, Alexander Sergeevich, noted that the races took place as part of the training camp:

- All riders fought for a good result. But so far the results are poor. Now the athletes will need a little time to recover, since the racers have not seen the track for almost 7 months. They will now be getting in shape for the upcoming Asian home championship, which will take place next June. In the middle of the month, the riders go to the Turkestan region for training, which will allow them to recover faster.

He also shared about further plans for the coming year:

- The two main tasks for 2021 are to compete with dignity at the World Junior Championships, which will be held in Egypt in April and at the Asian home championship. Of course, we will build on the current situation and follow all the instructions of the state.

We remind you that the control races were held without the participation of spectators and in compliance with all sanitary and preventive standards.
