In 2009, one of the best European cycling tracks was built in Minsk.

At the base of the track is a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. The cycle track itself consists of inclined forms, on which a wooden wooden flooring from Siberian spruce is attached. The length of the cycle track is 250 m, width - 7,5 m., There are two bends - right and left, the angle of inclination is 41 degrees.

The stands are designed for 2,000 spectators. The central core of the cycle track can be used for playing sports: badminton, table tennis, mini football, basketball, volleyball. On the 1st floor of the SS "Velodrome" there are cafes, cash desks, a wardrobe, doping control rooms, a medical and rehabilitation center, two saunas and rest rooms for 20 people. On the 2 nd floor - office space, two gyms with modern equipment, a hall of choreography and a universal sports hall. On the third floor there are sectors B and C, where VIP lodges are provided to receive guests of the highest level, as well as commentators' cabins.

In July 2009, the cycling track in Minsk hosted the European Bicycle Championships on the track. More than 400 athletes from 30 countries took part in the competitions. Within five days, 30 sets of awards in individual and team disciplines were played.

On February 20-24, 2013 the World Championship in cycling on the track was held in Minsk. Excellent infrastructure, deep traditions of cycling and support from the state - these factors have become decisive in the voting of representatives of almost 100 countries around the world. To this success, the Minsk Velodrome went for several years, as a result, the second in prestigious, after the Olympics, racing riders took place with great success in the Belarusian capital.
