Already the fourth day in Astana, one of the significant Asian Weightlifting Championships among women and men is held. The strongest Asian weightlifters from 18 countries take part in the championship.

Today, distinguished guests of the Championship arrived in Astana with an official visit - President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Tamas Ayan, President of the Asian Weightlifting Federation Mohamed Yousef Al-Mana. They shared their views on the ongoing Championship and the upcoming World Championship.

“Kazakhstan at the Olympic Games won 4 gold medals in weightlifting. This already indicates a high potential of Kazakhstani sportsmen. I want to thank Kairat Turlykhanov, Mohamed Yusef Al-Man for holding such a large-scale Asian Championship. This is a kind of training for Kazakhstan before the World Championship that will take place next year. I witnessed the organization of many world competitions, and seeing how this Championship is being held I can only respond positively to the organizers and participants of the competition. I would also like to thank the Minister of Sports and the Vice-Minister of Sports of Kazakhstan on behalf of the International Weightlifting Federation. It should be noted that the choice of venue. This year we are hosting the Asian Championship at the cycle track arena. This complex meets all standards of international competitions. Mohamed Yousef Al-Mana, President of the Asian Weightlifting Federation, also expressed his gratitude and shared his opinion on the upcoming work of the Weightlifting Federation.

Representatives of the Asian continent show excellent results in the Championships.
