From October 16 to October 19, the National Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cycling in the disciplines of sprint and omnium will be held in the cycle track "Saryarka". Competitions will be held according to the international rules of the UCI and the rules of the competitions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Omnium is one of the most interesting disciplines, especially among masters and cycling enthusiasts. Kazakhstan currently pays special attention to this sport. Omnium competitions include disciplines that are held in the following order: group points race, elimination race, individual pursuit race, and starting from the spot.

Sprint is one of the oldest cycling disciplines. Sprint - a type of cycle race for 2 or 3 laps, in which from 2 to 4 athletes selected in qualifying races take part. The winner in the race is the racer who crossed the finish line first.
