The Republic Short Track Tournament for Schoolchildren held from 10 to 13 November has finished.

Athletes from cities and regions of Kazakhstan took part in the tournament. The objective of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle; to popularize short-track among schoolchildren; to find promising athletes for the national youth team of the Republic of Kazakhstan; to improve sporting skills; to conduct patriotic education for the youth and to develop sports among children in all regions of Kazakhstan.

The winners of the super-final are Aybek Nasen (500 m, boys); Malika Ermek (500 m, girls); Zhanberik Karsakbaev (800 m, junior boys); Togzhan Amangeldy (800 m, junior girls); Nurlybek Beyseev (1000 m, senior boys); Alyona Kikolenko (1000 m, senior girls).
