On October 30, 2019, a meeting on the development of physical culture and sports was held in the conference hall of the Saryarka cycle track, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.M. Saparbayev.

According to the agenda of the meeting, the following important issues were considered:

1. On measures for the further development of mass sports

2. On the course of preparation of national teams for sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

3. About the course of preparation of national teams for sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the 16th Tokyo Paralympic Games Tokyo-2020.

The report was made by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulova, Director of the Directorate of Sports of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the operational headquarters for ensuring the preparation and participation of national teams in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Kanagatov E.B.

Representatives of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, the Federation of Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women's Wrestling, the Federation of Water Sports, the Judo Federation, the Taekwondo Federation (WTF), and the WKF Karate Federation also spoke about the preparation of athletes for upcoming sporting events.

At the end of the meeting, Berdibek Mashbekovich Saparbayev instructed the first leaders of sports organizations to work for a good result and noted the need for joint and coordinated work of all the federations, the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
