The Kazakhstan national basketball team beat Iraq in the second match in the qualifying round for the 2019 World Cup, Vesti.kz correspondent reports.

The game in Astana ended with a score of 82:76 in overtime. At the same time, the hosts led after the first quarter by six points, but then squandered this advantage. The most productive among the winners was Anatoly Kolesnikov, who scored 21 points.

Let us remind you that the Kazakhstan national team started in the qualification for the 2019 World Cup with an away victory over Qatar - 70:82. In the next round, Kazakhstan will host Iran at home on February 22, and Qatar three days later.

Three teams from the group will advance to the next round, which will take place in November 2018. The qualifications will end in February 2019, and the 2019 World Cup will be held from August 31 to September 15 in China.
