For the first time in Kazakhstan the International pop music contest "Voice of Astana" was held, which is one of the most grandiose events dedicated to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital of Kazakhstan - the city of Astana. Young pop singers from many countries, such as Italy, Great Britain, China, Georgia, Tatarstan, Azerbaijan, India, Russia, Bulgaria, Israel, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Turkey and Kazakhstan took part in the competition.

On the arena of the cycle track "Saryarka" the semifinal of the contest was held on June 15, the final - on June 16. On the first day of the festival of music, participants from 16 countries performed songs about Astana, from which the very best went to the next round. Also, on these dates, the jubilee creative evening of Baigali Serkebaev and the evening of Batyrkhan Shukenov's memory were held.

According to the results of two days of the contest, the winners in the following categories were selected: Grand Prix, I, II and III places. All participants became holders of diplomas, statuettes and valuable gifts. The competition was judged by the members of the jury, which included recognized artists, among them Valery Meladze and Baigali Serkebaev.

After the completion of the Voice of Astana contest, a concert was held for the spectators by the honored artist of Kazakhstan Baigali Serkebayev, in which stars of Russian, Kazakhstani stage and the Western star of the evening American pop singer Anastacia performed.

Summing up the results of the "Voice of Astana" festival, Matin Inogamov from Uzbekistan won the spectator sympathy prize, for the original performance - Cedrina Shari from the USA. Remarkable Russian singer Eleonora Nosova won the prize for the best song about Astana.

III-rd place of the competition was awarded to Ilham Nazarov from Azerbaijan;

II place - BAO LIN from China and Tatiana Dokanina from Ukraine;

I place - GOLDSTONE from Great Britain, Berdibek Kulgaraev from Kazakhstan.

Grand Prix of the 1st International contest "Voice of Astana" was won by Avtandil Abeslamidze from Georgia!
