On July 30 of current year, the athletes from the Olympic Cycling Training Center visited the ALZHIR Museum-Memorial Complex of Victims of Political Repressions and Totalitarianism that located in Akmol Village, 40 kilometers from Nur-Sultan.

A tour through the expositions, the Alash and ALZHIR halls was held and the “Cruel Cold of ALZHIR” documentary film was shown to athletes in the ALZHIR Museum-Memorial Complex constructed as kurgan with an entrance in the form of a kind of tunnel on the walls of which tragic moments from the life of prisoners are laid. The trip was organized with the aim of introducing athletes the history and culture of their country. The Center’s athletes were impressed by the museum history, the fate of thousands of innocent victims, who suffered during the years of repression and totalitarianism.
