May 15, 2018 Embassy of Japan hosted a martial arts hall of the Republican cycle track "Saryarka" ceremony accessories Kendo "Kendo Club in Kazakhstan" and Iaido demonstration of skill.

Within the framework of the event, the Japanese Champion Nobukazu Onisi demonstrated the art of swordholding Iaido.

Iaido, the way of the sword - is akin to Ken-Jitsu martial art style, a unique method of fighting, which assumes ownership of their own bodies and the right tactics of using the sword. Important in Iaido - the equanimity of mind. The reaction to the attack is made from various positions: sitting, lying, standing. Training includes not only lessons on the use of the sword, but also the ethics of fighting, the development of strength of mind.

The organizer of this ceremony is the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2016, four Kendo masters of the Kendo Japan Federation visited Kazakhstan as part of the Japan Foundation's "Trip of Martial Art Masters in Central Asia", implemented as a follow-up to the visit of Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo ABE to Kazakhstan. During their stay, it was noted that in Kazakhstan it is difficult to purchase supplies for this art. In this regard, Japan's Kendo Federation decided to transfer these equipment as a donation to further popularize Kendo.
