Tournament among school students
26 September 2014, the mini-football fields of the Cycling Track “Saryarka” hosted the final tournament and the 3rd place tournament of mini-football among school students of Saryarka District of Astana.
The tournament started on 23 September. On that day, there were playoff games and semifinal games among 7 teams of school students of Astana. Four schools went through to the final mini-football game: Gymnasium School No 2 named after Gafu Kairbekov, Gymnasium School No 7, Secondary School No 61 and the Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum.
At the tournament, first place was taken by Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum, second place was taken by Secondary School No 61, and third place was taken by School Gymnasium No 7. The winners were awarded with cups and souvenirs.
The organizers of the tournament are the RPO “Unified Children and Youth organization Zhas Ulan”. The plans of State Enterprise “Republic Cycling Track “Saryarka” and RPO “Unified Children and Youth organization Zhas Ulan” is to organize tournaments and championships among children at a large-scale level.
"This is not the first event organized by us. The Cycling Track “Saryarka” has numerously taken the initiative to cooperate with us. This kind of event brings together children and attracts younger generations to a healthy lifestyle and an organized leisure time”, shared Gulnur Kaztaeva, the expert of the department of regional development of the RPO “Unified Children and Youth organization Zhas Ulan”.
