An introductory lecture on the preventive aspects of the fight against terrorism and religious extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the conference hall of the Saryarka cycle track with the participation of the Olympic Training Center for Cycling.

Today, terrorism has gone beyond the borders of nation states. Most modern scholars call it a global problem and in recent years countering terrorism has been one of the main tasks for all civilized countries. Kazakhstan strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and advocates the adoption of the collective efforts of the world community to combat this phenomenon.

The main report was delivered to the Center’s employees by the senior operative of the Office for Combating Extremism of the DP of the city of Nur-Sultan Amir Maratovich. Countering terrorism is one of the priority areas in ensuring the national security of the country. In his speech, the speaker noted the need to study religion from reliable sources, since the religion of Islam categorically does not accept the idea of ​​radical extremist sects. The teachings of Islam are imbued with the highest justice and concern for a person, Islam purifies a person’s soul from selfishness, from cruelty and terror, from vanity of licentiousness.

The event rapporteur also mentioned the need to convey to people information on the existence of extremism and terrorism, how to deal with this phenomenon and how to avoid their participation in such organizations.
