On the eve of the Journalist’s Day, Serik Zhumangaliyevich Sapiyev came at the Saryarka Bicycle Race Track across journalists from TV channels and print media and congratulated them on the upcoming holiday - the Day of Mass Media Workers.

The first part of the meeting was held in an informal setting - the conversation-at-breakfast format, then an official part was held, where the journalists were awarded letters of thanks for covering actively the sports activities of our country.

This festive event noted journalists of Khabar, Khabar 24, KazSport, Kazakh TV channels, Bnews, Vesti, Kazinform information portals and Yegemen Kazakhstan newspaper, etc.

Serik Zhumangaliyevich Sapiyev is a Kazakhstani amateur boxer, World Champion of 2005 and 2007, Olympic Champion of 2012, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honored Sports Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently he is the Chairman of the Sports and Physical Education Committee under the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
