19.07.2017

The “K-Culture Party” concert of South Korean popular music singers (K-POP) was held at the “Saryarka” cycling track, and Kazakh youth idols Ninety one performed with them. The event took place as part of the upcoming National Day of the South Korean Republic at the international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. Kazpravda.kz correspondents also attended the concert along with fans of Korean culture.

In addition to popular singers, lesser-known domestic groups appeared on stage, dancing and singing in the K-POP style. A total of 91 artists performed on the cycle track stage.

The concert started on time, accurate to the second, this fact is proven by the stopwatch, which counted down exactly 56 seconds before the start of the K-Party. True, instead of the singers appearing on stage, they began broadcasting a video that presented the Korean pavilion. The first to take the stage was the extremely talkative team B1A4. Despite the language barrier, because the artists communicated with the audience in Korean, the fans responded to them.

But the girls from the group Ace of angels no longer evoked such strong emotions as the previous team, consisting of 5 young guys. Their extravagant outfits were designed to attract more attention from the male part of the public, of whom there was an overwhelming minority.

Each of the girls performed in high heels, and a distinctive feature of K-POP artists is dancing while performing songs, and Ace of Angels coped with the task perfectly.

The stadium, designed for 8,000 people, was completely occupied by young girls, mostly of school age. The phrases “Oppa sarankhe” (Oppa is a young, dear guy to the heart, sarankhe - I love you - Approx. Author) were constantly heard from the hall, this is how the fans confessed their love to their idols.

Despite the external similarity with K-Pop artists, Ninety one differs not only in that they sing in the Kazakh language, but also in the style of performance, you can clearly hear that the stars are singing live, they also use rap in their songs, mixing it with lyrical singing.

Kazakh celebrities Ninety one were greeted by fans with even greater applause and screams. Just like their Korean colleagues in the music industry, domestic performers sang and danced at the same time.

What is noteworthy is that each group has 5 singers, and the South Korean group HIGHLIGHT is no exception, and some of their fans even made posters with the name of the group. It was these musicians who completed the K-Culture Party concert.

The official celebration of South Korea's National Day will take place tomorrow, July 19, on the EXPO 2017 grounds and pavilion.
