The NGO “National Paralympic Committee” is organizing a training seminar “Disability and sport in the mirror of the media: promotion of Paralympic sports”, which will be held on January 19-20, 2017 at the sports complex of the State Enterprise “Olympic Training Center for Cycling”.

The purpose of this training:

attracting attention to the Paralympic sports of Kazakhstan;
familiarize students with the basic concepts, principles of disability, sports for people with disabilities;
train seminar participants in methods and approaches of public speaking, self-presentation, PR promotion, brand technologies of the Paralympic movement;
train seminar participants with methods and approaches to correct coverage of disability sports in the media and encourage journalists to use the correct terminology.

As a result of the seminar, video material with the participation of disabled athletes will be prepared for the media. Representatives of the media, athletes with disabilities, representatives of sports organizations, as well as representatives of NGOs, international and regional experts will take part in the seminar.
