ASIAN JUNIOR AND YOUTH TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF IN HONG KONG
On March 14–15, in Hong Kong (People’s Republic of China), the Asian Triathlon Championship at the sprint distance is taking place for juniors (U19) and youth (U23).
This year, 135 athletes from 15 Asian countries are competing for the title of the continent’s strongest triathletes.
Kazakhstan is represented by 10 athletes from the Astana Olympic Training Center.

The team was prepared for the championship by senior coaches M.N. Mazur and A.B. Abdrakhmanov, who also accompany the athletes during the competition.
The sprint distance in triathlon consists of three stages: 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling, and 5 kilometers of running.
