Judo center opened in the capital of Kazakhstan

Today, February 2, a judo center was opened in Nur-Sultan on the Saryarka cycle track, Olympic.kz reports. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Saken Musaibekov and President of the Judo Federation of Kazakhstan Kairat Kozhamzharov.

This multifunctional sports complex meets all world standards, where we will conduct training camps for the National Judo Team of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Republican Public Association "Judo Federation", together with the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Judo Federation, opened 20 free sports sections for judo in all regions and 3 cities of republican significance for children aged 5 to 12 years.

The Federation, in turn, provided material and technical support for the sports halls - tatami, sports equipment - kimono and judo trainers.

At present, there are 87,293 judo practitioners in 2 582 sections in Kazakhstan, of which 6 358 are engaged in judo in 63 sections in the city of Nur-Sultan."
