An international track cycling competition “Silk Way Series Kazakhstan” will be held


On May 17-19 this year, the international track cycling competition “Silk Way Series Kazakhstan” will take place. The main goal of the event is to popularize cycling and its varieties, as well as the development of track racing and improvement of the sportsmanship of cyclists.

Athletes from National Teams, Regional Teams and Cycling Clubs will take part in international track cycling competitions of the CL2 class in accordance with the requirements of the International Cycling Union.

Warm-up starts tomorrow at 9:00 and competition starts at 10:00. Athletes will compete in six types of programs: Madison group race, omnium, scratch, elimination race, sprint and keirin.

It is important to note that all track competitions held on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan must be served by a main panel of judges approved by the Kazakhstan Cycling Federation.

A photo finish and electronic recording equipment will be used to determine the winners at the finish line. Winners and runners-up in all programs will be awarded the corresponding diplomas of I, II, III degrees from the Kazakhstan Cycling Federation and medals for I, II, III place.
