Nur-Sultan - on May 23 at 11.00 in the conference hall of the cycling track "Saryarka" a press conference will be held dedicated to the first bodybuilding and fitness tournament in Central Asia.

The press conference will be attended by the chairman of the Sports and Physical Education Committee of the MKS RK - Serik Sapiev, the President of the Republican Bodybuilding Federation of IFBB - Alexander Kolyuk, Ochir Ganbaatar - the President of AFBF, and also the IFBB Elite Pro athlete - Ekaterina Shalamova.

The event is held by the bodybuilding federation - IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding), the only recognized international and national Olympic Committee with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Athletes from 6 countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan are invited and allowed to participate in the competition. To date, confirmation of participation received from representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Preliminary applications are filed by more than 150 athletes.

Competitions will be held according to the rules of the International Federation of IFBB with the participation of representatives of the Asian regional block AFBF (Asian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) and the national block IFBB Qazaqstan. Invited international judges and PRO-athletes for objective judging and holding a seminar on new categories.

The relevance of the bodybuilding and fitness tournament is due to the increased interest among the population of the countries of the region to fitness in general.

The federation in this case acts as a coordinator of the sport for its development in the direction approved by world standards.

According to the results of the competition, athletes will receive titles and awards of international standard and PRO cards will also be awarded.
